Well he barely missed Father’s Day, but it is now official.  Skateboarding star Tony Hawk and his wife Lhotse have welcomed their first child into the world, a little girl who they named Kadence Clover Hawk. 

Little Kadence was born in a hospital in La Jolla, CA on Monday, June 30.  She weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was a whopping 21 inches long.  We hear that mom and baby are doing beautifully and dad, who has three sons from a previous relationship is already wrapped around his daughters pinky.  “Daddy’s Little Girl” is putting it mildly.

Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan and her husband Jerry Solomon are the proud parents of a baby girl, reports People.com.

The baby girl, who has not been named, was born in Winchester, Mass. weighing 6 lbs., 12 oz. and was delivered via c-section. The little tot is the third child, but first girl, for the couple who are parents to 11-year-old Matthew and 3-year-old Brian.

How did the brothers feel about adding a sister to the mix? “They’re very excited,” Kerrigan says. “Matthew wanted a girl and Brian wanted a boy, and the two would occasionally argue about it, but they’re both looking forward to having a new sibling.”

Kerrigan, 38, must watch her diet during her pregnancies. She gained only 25 pounds with her baby girl, which is more than the 24 pounds she gained with Brian and the 23 pounds she gained with Matthew.

As far as naming her baby girl, Kerrigan says, “I think that is the hardest job, to pick a name for somebody. We are not very good at that.”

“Brian thinks Pooper would be good,” she jokes.

New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia welcomed their second child, a girl, on April 21st, reports usmagazine.com.

Daughter Ella Alexander Rodriguez was born in Miami weighing 7 pounds, 2 ouches. “We are thrilled with the birth of our second child and the blessing of having two healthy, beautiful children in our family,” he says.

The 32-year-old two-time American League MVP and Cynthia, 34, also have a 3-year-old daughter named Natasha.

Olympic ice skater Scott Hamilton and his wife Tracie welcomed a baby boy on Monday, reports People.com.

Maxx Hamilton was born in a Tennessee hospital weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz. and measuring 20 inches in length.

“Mom and son are doing fine,” Hamilton, 49, announces via a text message. Maxx will be welcomed home by his brother, 4-year-old Aidan.

The gold medal winner has retired from skating, but does provide commentary during ice skating championships and co-produces Stars on Ice.

Olympic gymnast Dominique Moceanu and her husband, Dr. Michael Canales, welcomed their first child on Christmas day, reports People.com.

Daughter Carmen Noel Canales was born a little after 3 p.m. on December 25th, weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. and measuring 18.5 inches in length.

“We are so excited. Mike and I have talked about starting a family for so long—it’s really a dream come true,” Moceanu, 26, says.

The gold-winning gymnast and her husband have been married for 13 months.

“The miracle of baby Carmen being born on Christmas Day makes this wonderful time all the more special to us. This is the best Christmas present we could have ever received!”

Boxing champ Oscar de la Hoya and his wife Millie Corretjer welcomed their second child together, People.com reports.

Oscar, 34, welcomed daughter Nina Lauren Nenitte de la Hoya on Saturday. The tot was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz. and measuring 20.5 inches in length.

“We are so excited and blessed with the new addition to our family!” Oscar says in a statement.

Oscar and Millie also have a 2-year-old son, Oscar Gabriel. The boxing champ has a daughter, Atiana, with ex Shanna Moakler. He has two other children, Jacob and Devon, from previous relationships.

 I previously messed up which child goes with who (as one reader not-so-nicely pointed out). It is hard to keep all of Oscar’s kiddos straight!

Original Post: The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck and her husband, Arizona Cardinals Tim Hasselbeck, welcomed a baby boy yesterday morning, reports People.

The little tyke was born at an Arizona hospital weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. “We’re thrilled he arrived safely. Both mom and son are happy and healthy,” the proud father announced.

Elisabeth, 30, and Tim, 29, are also parents to 2-year-old Grace.

The baby’s name will be announced Monday morning when Elisabeth calls into The View. I guess having a baby is a real ratings booster!

Formula One driver Alex Wurz welcomed his third baby boy on September 30th, Auto 123 reports.

Wurz, 33, and his wife Julia named their newborn son Oscar. “Mother and baby are absolutely fine,” their rep reports. Oscar will be welcomed home by big brothers Charlie and Felix.

Singer Charlotte Church and her boyfriend, rugby player Gavin Henson, show off their baby girl on the cover of OK! magazine. 2-week-old Ruby Megan is the first child for the couple.

Charlotte tells the magazine how they came up with the name: “We had names before she was born — Renée, Jasmine, Ella — but she just didn’t look like any of them. We were saying she had lush red lips, ruby-red lips and then said: ‘Let’s call her Ruby.’

“Megan is her middle name after Gavin’s grandmother. She’s passed away now, but everyone spoke about her with such love.”
