Lisa Marie Presley has twin girls

On Tuesday, Lisa Marie Presley and her husband Michael Lockwood welcomed twin girls into the world. They were born by c-section and both were a good size weighing in at 5 lbs., 15oz., and 5 lbs., 2 oz.

So far the couple has released very little information. They have not even let the world know what they decided to name their new tykes. No word yet either on who they will sell the first pictures too and which magazine will sport the twins on their cover.

It was US Weekly that first broke the news in July, quite a ways into the pregnancy, and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie’s mother, who confirmed the details in August. Twins do run in the family however so if they are fraternal twins then they definitely should not be surprised. Lisa Marie’s famous father Elvis was a twin and she has uncles who are twins on her mothers side.

Lisa Marie has actually mentioned very little about the impending birth since she stated in her blog a few months ago that, “We are beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness.” She also said that she isn’t singing right now, but will start again once the kids get a little older.

Congrats to the couple! We can’t wait to see the little girls.
