Jerry O’Connell: a protective dad-to-be

Jerry O’Connell, who is expecting twin girls this winter with wife Rebecca Romijn, is already feeling very protective over his daughters to be. At the Nike + Human Race in L.A. on Sunday, he told Usmagazine.com, “I don’t want them to date. They’re only allowed to date men who run countries. They’re only allowed to date men who are heir to throne or are currently running a nation.” There is nothing like the prospect of having TWIN girls to bring out the protective nature of a man, right?

But the soon-to-be daddy was taking it all it stride. He joked around, saying he and his wife talked about naming the girls Mary-Kate and Ashley, after the Olson twins. But O’Connell did reveal to Us the possible name of one of the twins, declaring his wife’s affinity for singer Dolly Parton. “… that will probably be one of the names.”

Maybe the couple will decide on cute rhyming names for their twin girls — Dolly and Holly?
