Olympic skater Scott Hamilton welcomes a boy

hamilton_hamilton1801.jpgOlympic ice skater Scott Hamilton and his wife Tracie welcomed a baby boy on Monday, reports People.com.

Maxx Hamilton was born in a Tennessee hospital weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz. and measuring 20 inches in length.

“Mom and son are doing fine,” Hamilton, 49, announces via a text message. Maxx will be welcomed home by his brother, 4-year-old Aidan.

The gold medal winner has retired from skating, but does provide commentary during ice skating championships and co-produces Stars on Ice.

What do you think of the name Maxx? Do you like the spelling?
