Snoop Dogg is a family man?
When you think of Snoop Dogg, you don’t automatically think of a “family man,” but the cussin’, smokin’, gangsta’ rapper is trying to change that image. Snoop, 36, is a father to his three children—Corde, Cordell and Cori–and is exposing the underbelly of his family life in his new reality show, Father Hood.
Although family does come first to Snoop, that was not always the case. “I was going to split up with my wife. My wife wasn’t going to split up with me. You know, I was caught up. I was caught up with Hollywood, all the girls and the nightlife,” he tells the Associated Press.
What changed his mind to go back to Shante, his wife of seven years? “I just don’t want another man raising my kids. That was the main goal. I had kids with my wife because I wanted to be with my wife. And those three babies are all wanted, and I wanted to be with them.”
Snoop said he decided to do the reality show because he wanted to show there was more to his life than his rapping. “Sometimes you lose focus because this Hollywood entertainment world can throw you off track. That’s why you see me doing things like this television show and my own football league, and the positive things I do, because I’m back aware again.”
Snoop Dogg as a family man—I never thought I would see the day.

I just love that you to worked it out, because I am one who believe that so many people are so in love before they get the kids and then once you have brought the children to this love you want to act like now it more you want out or deceide that you don’t really love this person but now you have this baby that don’t see any of this. All they see is a person they never want to be away from. So in that I just want to say thank you for showing me that there are more people that believe in what I do. Chante is going to be there weather you broke are not. Oh! and Snoop I know you know that everything that looks good ain’t good!!

When you look at Snoop, the first thing you see is a “gansta’ rapper.” That’s all I used to see in him until this past summer, when my fiancee and I ran into him and his kids at Disneyland, of all places! We were standing in line at the “Soarin’ Over California” ride at CA Adventure and there he was in the next line over, with his kids, three HUGE bodyguards and the park escort. During the ride you could hear him and the kids just having a good ol’ time. When the ride was over, the park escort led Snoop and his group through a private back exit. It was really neat to see his other side - the cool, loving dad side. =0)
