Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, confirms pregnancy
Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old sister of Britney Spears, has confirmed to OK! magazine that she is pregnant. I guess she can find out what not to do when it comes to parenting from big sis Britney.
“It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” Jamie Lynn tells the magazine. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.” The daddy is her boyfriend Casey Aldridge.
The Zoey 101 star is 12 weeks along and said she found out the news from an at-home pregnancy test and the news was confirmed by her doctor. “As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody. Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”
How did her mother take the news that she was going to be a grandmother again? “She was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all. A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”
I wonder how Nickelodeon will handle her pregnancy? Do you think they should fire her or try to disguise the pregnancy?

I definetly think they should fire her from the show and either replace her or write her off from it. She is not a good role model for young girls and whether she wanted to be or not, she was. She was a young girl on a show and I’m sure all her fans thought of her as a smart girl, into fashion and flirting, and who probably wasn’t even having sex. I’m not putting down her decision for how to conduct her personal life, but it just seems wrong for her to announce she was pregnant so early on, as well as admitting she is sexual active. She should have done what Beyonce’s little sister did, get a shot-gun wedding and expect the world not to be surpised that a baby came less than nine months later, lol.

They should fire her. She is just a child herself. I am not a fan of hers or her sister. I think she is just trying to get attention that is why she is pregnant. Her boyfriend will leave her just like Kevin left Britney. She will be going through the same thing that Britney is going through. If she is a smart girl, have the baby then put it for adoption. She is still in high school. Finish school and college then have kids. That is the smart way to do it.
Kids having kids is just not the way to do it. It was different years ago to have a child at 16 or 17. Not in this world today.

I am very disappointed in Jamie. I am 14. I really looked up to her and her sister Jamie for not being like her sister and I looked up to her sister on what not to do! Now I can’t look up to Jamie as a “Role-Model” I really love Jamie but I can’t handle her being pregnant at such a young age. It really makes you think of what went on in Britney and Jamie’s life when they were younger.

Get over it, Jamie Lynn Spears isn’t your child, and If your so upset about her show being on tv, Then turn it off. Its no accident or mistake. Stop blaming Brittany for what Jamie does. They are two different people. People act like their children aren’t having sex at 16. I’m not saying its something to encourage, NO WAY! But get off her back. She has money, and her family. She can give this child a good life. Thank You God she is not having an abortion.

I think that it is very disappointing to hear that Jamie Lynn is pregnant. You would think that she would have learned by what her sister has done to her children and not do anything to hurt her career.
Her parents really need to step back and look at the way that they raised their girls. How in the world could Lynn Spears let something like this happen? Both of her girls pregnant and alone!?! That has to be THE WORST parenting I have ever seen!!!!!!!! SHAME ON THE PARENTS!!!

Last time i checked Britney is Britney and Jamie is Jamie not Britt. Yes she is 16 years old. Will she put the baby up for adoption? probably not. Just cause she’s 16 and with child does not mean she “ruined” her life. She can still finish school and gratuate and be a mommy (it’s called home school) She can still have a life just with a baby. Will her bf leave her like kev did to brit? who knows!. Will there be a wedding to make sure the whole ‘marriage before baby’? dont know. I honestly dont see the big deal in having a baby when not married. (i had my son then got married). i know that not the issue but its her life, S**T happens not like she went up to her bf and said lets get preog. it’s really not a shock that a 16 yr old is having sex .. There might even be some girls who will look up to her still.. i mean a 16 yr old having a baby is huge. its brave. just imagine how she’s feeling… its a HUGE life changing event. girls may still look up to her u never know…

I think too much attention is being givin to her. There are more than a million young girls, even younger than her that are pregnant or already have babies. Being one of them, i just hope that she doesn’t glamorize it,, wich she probably will… because it’s really far from that. And honestly, a lot of young girls it is said WANT to get pregnant… and i think that this was true for her because she could’ve kept it private if she really wanted to, instead she ran and told a magazine being ONLY 12 weeks. I even read back in August maybe that she thought she was pregnant. What does that tell everyone about this situation? uh, she WANTS attention 4 it!!

and for those blaming her mother for bad parenting? that’s wrong. Thats insulting because i am 16 and am 7 months pregnant and that was my CHOICE!! my mom didn’t go out there and MAKE me have sex or get me pregnant. I did it. I’m the ONLY one to blame for it. At 16 you are old enough to make your own choices and decisions.

i don’t think it is anyones fault that she got pregnant……… i am not saying it is ok for a 16 yr old is having sex but they are face it it’s not the parents fault or the sisters… they weren’t there when it was happening i think the baby will have a good life she has more than enuf money to support the child…and if u r disappointed in the fact that is pregnant GET A LIFE ITS NOT YOU THAT IS PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and if they fire her that is descrimination i would hire a lawyer

I know alot of girls who have gotten pregnant at age 16 and earlier. I think it’s her own business and everybody should just leave her the hell alone before she goes crazy like her sister.
