E. coli scare for Johnny Depp
According to BANG Showbiz, Britain’s The Sun newspaper is reporting that insiders on Johnny Depp’s new movie are talking about hospitalization of his 7-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose. It was initially thought to be blood poisoning, but sources are now saying she had E.coli.
“Everyone was shocked when we were told the real reason for Lily-Rose’s illness,” a source says. “It was touch and go for her for a while.”
Production staff on the “Sweeney Todd” movie reveal that the serious condition caused Lily-Rose’s kidneys to shut down. Johnny was “distraught” and “kept a bedside vigil at the London hospital.”
Johnny, 43, and his girlfriend, French model Vanessa Paradis, also have a son together, 5-year-old John Jack.
E.coli can be contracted though contaminated food or water. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, weakness and bruising, among others.

E. coli is a bacteria, not a virus.
