Singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco, 35, welcomed her first child, a baby girl, in New York.

Her website makes the happy announcement:

“ANI’S BUNDLE OF JOY ARRIVES…
We’re happy to report that Ani gave birth to a 7 pound, 8 ounce little girl, Petah Lucia, at her Buffalo home early Saturday morning, January 20. Mother and baby are both healthy and happy. Welcome to the world, Petah!”

The father is rumored to be boyfriend Mike Napolitano.

Would you consider having a home birth, like DiFranco? I like the thought of giving birth at home, where you are comfortable and surrounded by everything that is familiar. However, I think it would be hard for me to relax and enjoy the experience thinking that I may not have the proper equipment if something went wrong.

Did the loud tick-tock of Cameron Diaz’s biological clock scare Justin Timberlake away? One source-in-the-know thinks so.

This “source told” Grazia magazine, “Cameron always believed that eventually Justin wanted to marry her and be the father of her children but he always said he was not ready. Cameron suddenly realized that time was catching up with her but Justin wasn’t willing to make the commitment.”

Cameron, 34, and Justin, 25, had been dating for over 3 years when they made a joint statement announcing their split. Since the big break-up, Cameron has been passing her time with pro surfer Kelly Slater, while Justin has been seen canoodling with actress Scarlett Johansson.

New parents Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard gave us a first glance of their newborn baby girl, 3-month-old Ramona. The couple had a family brunch at Ammo in LA.

Is Julia Roberts expecting a baby boy? BANG showbiz is reporting that the 39-year-old actress will be dressing her summer baby in blue, not pink. I guess this means she is not having twins, as was speculated after she was seen buying two of everything at Petit Tresor?

The Pretty Woman actress, whose due date has been reported as June 22, is excited for her third baby to be born because “she wants a big family,” a source tells Star magazine.

Roberts and her husband, cameraman Danny Moder, are already the parents of 2-year-old twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel.

This most recent baby news was long overdue for Roberts, who had been trying to get pregnant again for over a year.

“We had almost given up hope, but nature took its course after we stopped looking at the calendar and taking temperatures.

Dharma & Greg star Jenna Elfman is expecting her first child with husband Bodhi Elfman.

Her publicist tells People that Jenna and her husband are “elated about the impending birth.” She goes on to say that, “Jenna looks and feels amazing. She is certain to be one hot mama.” 

Elfman, 35, and Bodhi, 37, have been married since 1995. No word yet on the due date.

Oprah reveals in the February issue of O Magazine that she gave birth to a baby when she was 14 years old. The baby died after spending several weeks in the hospital.

This revelation comes after Oprah’s half sister, Patricia Loyd, came out with the story to the National Enquirer. Oprah writes that Loyd, “sat in a room, told them the story of my hidden shame and left their offices $19,000 richer.” People is reporting that Oprah said she “took to my bed and cried for three days. I felt devastated. Wounded. Betrayed. How could this person do this to me?”

Oprah writes: “Only my family and closest friends knew. I would tell no one until I felt safe enough to share my dark past: the years I was sexually abused, from age 10 to 14, my resulting promiscuity as a teenager, and finally, at 14, my becoming pregnant.”

She says having her secret out,”…was liberating…What I learned for sure was that holding the shame was the greatest burden of all.”

Actress Keri Russell, best known as the title role in the WB drama Felicity, has announced she is pregnant!

Russell, 30, is expecting her first child this summer with fiancé  Shane Deary, reports People.

The Mission: Impossible 3 star has been dating her contractor fiancé for several years, however no wedding date has been set.

Six Feet Under star Lauren Ambrose welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday in New York City, reports People.

Orson Handel is the first baby for Ambrose, 28, and her husband, photographer Sam Handel.

“The family is very happy, the baby is happy and Lauren is doing great,” a friend reports.

In case you were wondering, the name Orson is French meaning, “A bear.” I’m trying to decide if I like that name. Maybe it will grow on me?

Jennifer Aniston is rumored to be following in the well-traveled footsteps of ex-hubby Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Britain’s Grazia magazine is reporting that a source has revealed that, “Jen has thrown herself into adopting and wants it to happen straight away. She toyed with the idea while she was with Vince but began looking in December after they split.”

Unlike many celebrities, such as Pitt and Madonna, Aniston is said to be adopting closer to home.

“She turned to friends for advice, including Oprah Winfrey, who advised her to adopt an African child, but she has settled on an American baby,” the source says.

Aniston has been open about wanting children, so it doesn’t seem that far-fetched that she would be considering adoption.

Bang Showbiz is reporting that Michael Jackson has offered to sell Neverland to Victoria and David Beckham. Their reply? Thanks, but no thanks.

Jackson, who moved out of the property over a year ago after being found innocent of child abuse, wants to sell the 2,800-acre property for $19 million.

The $19 million dollar price tag is within the soccer superstar’s budget.  Beckham, who will be playing for the LA Galaxy soccer team, turned down Jacko’s offer because it is located in Los Olivos, 150 miles away from where he will be training. Plus, how creepy would that be to be living in Neverland?

What kind of house are the Beckhams looking for? “I want to make sure I pick the right one for David and the kids,” she says. “I’ve seen some beautiful places, but we want somewhere that looks like a nice home.”

The front-runner is a $14.7 million dollar mansion that was once owned by Lionel Richie. She plans on spending a mere $98,000 on soccer-themed bedrooms for sons Brooklyn, 7, Romeo, 4, and 23-month-old Cruz. Who will be decorating the rooms? Petit Tresor, of course.
