Sofia Coppola is seeing pink
Writer/director Sofia Coppola revealed to USA Today that she is having a girl!
Coppola, 35, is seven months pregnant with her first child with musician Thomas Mars. “I’m so excited to have a little girl,” she gushes.
Has the busy Marie Antoinette director had time to splurge on cute frilly dresses for her baby? “I haven’t gone crazy, but I feel like I’m on the verge. All those dresses. I tried to be open about both sexes, but it’s so fun to have little girl stuff.”
The Oscar-winning screenwriter (she won in 2003 for Lost in Translation) is finding that picking a name can be challenging. “We’re going to wait and see. When you’re writing, you pick names for characters, but it’s harder in real life.”
I’m sure grandpa Francis Ford Coppola is tickled pink.
