Elizabeth Vargas, who co-anchors both ABC News’ World News Tonight and 20/20, is expecting baby number two with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter hubby Marc Cohn. Their son Zachary is 3, and Marc has two kids (11-year-old Emily and 24-year-old Max) from a previous marriage.
David Westin, President of ABC news, said, “I told Elizabeth that during such a difficult time for all of us, it’s good to get such wonderful, life-affirming news.” Her World News Tonight co-anchor Bob Woodruff is currently recovering from serious injuries sustained while reporting in Iraq. But that’s not the only recent trauma that’s hit close to home: Just last August, Marc was shot in the head by a carjacker while on tour in Denver.
Elizabeth and Marc are said to be expecting what will truly be a bundle of joy in the late summer, and she is said to be planning to work until late in her pregnancy.
